Often thee are additional activities or unforeseen requirements
that we provide you. Below is a list by vehicle type and their corresponding
charges/rates:
Waiting Time
Charges begin 10 minutes after the scheduled pick up time
(grace period). Once waiting time exceeds 30 minutes, the service
becomes a 1.5 hour minimum charter. The amount of the charge is
a function of the vehicle type:
» Sedans - $15 for each 15 minutes or
part thereof
» Limousines - $20/$25/$30 for the 6/8/10 passenger vehicles
for each 15 minutes or part thereof
» Vans - $25 for each 15 minutes or part thereof
» Specialty vehicles - 30% of the hourly rate for each 15
minutes or part thereof
Stops
Stop charges are by far the most difficult to price. Ultimately
the dispatcher calculates a value which is determined as a combination
of the distance to the stop, the amount of time spent at the stop
and the location of the stop with regard to the expected initial
route. If there are more than 2 stops, the service automatically
becomes a 1.5 hour minimum charter.
Gratuity
For billed (open) accounts, there is a 20% gratuity automatically
attached. For all other payment methods (cash, credit card, coupon)
the passenger should tip an amount commensurate with their experience.
We recommend 18% as a minimum if you are satisfied.
Airport Handling Fee
Certain airports around the country levy fees, taxes or ‘handling
charges’ as a way of financing their facilities. In Chicago,
we have a $1 handling charge for trips to/from ORD and Midway to
satisfy city fees.
Meet & Greet Services
Only at the baggage claim areas. In Chicago the rate is $27 + gratuity
+ any parking expense.
Late Night/Early Morning
There is a $10 surcharge for any service provided after 11:00 PM
and before 3:59 AM. This charge is not levied for late flight arrivals
whose original scheduled time was before 11:00 PM.
Holidays
There is a $10 surcharge to all services provided on recognized major
holidays (New Year’s eve and day, Memorial day, July 4th,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas eve and day). 100% of this
is paid to the Chauffeur.
Out of Pocket
Tolls and other requested items (water, paper…) will be added
to the invoice.
Fuel Surchargs and STC
Fuel Surcharges and Surface Transportation Charges are prevalent throughout the
country and represent a way to vary rates as costs for integral
parts of the service such as Gasoline, Insurance and Municipal fees/taxes
increase.
